Children's Mental Health Week takes place each February. The theme for 2024 is 'giving a voice to young people'.
This is hugely important as it is about empowering youngsters by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves.
Realising that your voice matters and you can speak out is hugely important at any age. For kids it applies even more so, as sometimes they can feel nobody is really listening.
But if they know a friend, parent or relative is there to hear what they are saying it can help boost confidence and provides the reassurance of having somebody to talk to if a problem ever arises.
